Bookings

The Robotics club is a fun way to meet and work with other students while learning about programming logic, coding and construction concepts. Programmable robots provide students with an instant, hands on way of interacting with the physical or digital world.

Students will discover robotics as they work with Edison, the LEGO® compatible, programmable Bot!

The Edison robot is a powerful, engaging tool for teaching kids computational thinking and computer programming in a hands-on way. With built-in sensors, lights, sounds and autonomous behaviour capabilities, Edison makes true robotics education accessible to students of all ages.

Edison works with any LEGO brick compatible building system, including the EdCreate robot creator’s kit. Bricks can be attached to the top and bottom of the Edison robot and pegs can be attached to the robot’s sides. When Edison’s wheels are removed, cross axles can be used in the powered sockets.

Edison’s robotics capabilities can be unlocked with ease through simple barcode programs. Students can then progress their robotics, coding and STEM education journeys using Edison with three progressive programming languages.

EdBlocks

EdBlocks is a fully icon-based robot programming language that is super easy to use. A drag-and-drop block-based system, EdBlocks is intuitive and fun, even for younger users. Perfect for introducing anyone to programming, EdBlocks is ideal for students aged 8 to 12 years old.

EdWare

EdWare is a hybrid graphical robot programming language that combines the ease of drag-and-drop icons with increased functionality from text-based entry. The result is a robot programming language that is easy to learn and offers a robust next-step in coding education.

EdPy

EdPy is a highly versatile text-based programming language based on Python. EdPy makes text-based programming fun by letting students see their code come to life in their Edison robot. With EdPy, students are learning the core of a real programming language and are able to take their exploration of robotics and coding to a more advanced level.
